Agree with Rory. I was having the same problem. Tuned the Z axis as per the video and it's worked perfectly ever since.

Hi For fine separating lines you could use a V Bit - with a 20 degree V bit you can achieve very fine lines.
Hi AVacaru It also depends on what you are cutting - for instance engraving on acrylic or cutting balsa wood is much quieter than cutting hardwood....
