Tracing an object in Vcarve

Evening Gents,

So ive been asked to make a Buzz Lightyear figure to go on a kids bedroom wall.

Ive found a vector image that id like to use, but when I trace it into Vcarve, it traces the inside and the outside of the outline if that makes sense.

That makes the image far too complicated and it wont cut even using a 2mm end mill, too much detail. Is there any way to trace it with 1 line only?
