Hello,

I have installed the UCCNC as stated in the YouTube videos following all the steps but when I plug the UC100 device in the USB board, the light is still solid green. I tried soluble clicking on the machine parameters for steocrsft 2/600 and no blue light as mentioned.

I also tried opening the UCCNC software, again no response..

Any suggestions

I have 32 bit windows vista with 2084mb of ram..
it's s dedicated laptop just for CNC..

Hello Rajivraj,

Just to understand you correct:

When the UC100 is plugged in, but UCCNC is not started, you only have the green light on.

-》this is correct and normal. The blue light only goes on, once UCCNC is started and running.

You are not able to start UCCNC:

This is definitely not normal. I am not sure if this can help, but it's worth a try:
Did you try to run it as administrator?
Did you install it as administrator?

...but you have installed the license key in the UCCNC directory and you don't have a fake UC100 interface which is sold sometimes on eBay and does not work...?

Anyway UCCNC must start even without a UC100. Then it starts in Demo mode...

The most current one which is 1.2029..
I reinstalled my windows on my laptop to make sure I had a clean computer just dedicated to CNC. I followed each as instructed, but after loading the software, clicking on it, it does nothing.. doesn't open at all.. ..

Hi,

Some things to try :-

Download another copy of UCCNC (rev 1.2029) from the cncdrive website and try that on your laptop.

If that doesn't work, have you another computer on which you can temporarily install the downloaded copy - you should be able to run this in demo mode if all is well with the download.

I noticed this on the cncdrive.com website relating to rev 1.2029

"Compatible OP systems: Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1,10 on all both 32 and 64bit versions."

No mention of Vista - maybe a clue here!!!!

Just to mention, the software should also run without the licence file.
But it will be in demo mode in that case. But it should start.

Maybe Vista is the problem?

This forum ist just for UCCNC: CNCDRIVE Forum

Maybe it's a good idea to ask there about the compatibility...

Hi

I think that link refers to the version for Win XP.

The Microsoft website suggests rev 3.5 for Vista, I don't know if the .NET framework loads automatically in Vista

Here is a link to the update for you to explore - a fresh installation might just sort the problem.
