mach4 software
i can get mach4 software to work on my stepcraft 🙁
You'll need to tell Mach4 all about your machine - I can't help with details of Mach4 as I use UCCNC.
If you have a UCCNC profile for your machine that will have all the details you require to enter into Mach4, but I'm sure some kind soul will be able to offer you a working profile to download. There a lots of parameters to enter otherwise.
Good luck.

There is no problem, however simple, that cannot be made more complicated by thinking about it.
I doubt it will work. AFAIK Mach4 only talks to USB machines and the Stepcraft USB interface is WinNC only. Perhaps with a UC100 adapter..

I use PMDX-411 smartBOB -USB still can't get my machine to work
Hello to everybody. I am completely new in CNC world. I just made an order for S2 /420 model with basic USB WinPC. I have a laptop with Win 10 and of course with USB ports only. My question is, can Mach 4 communicate with the USB interface port that come with the CNC ?

Hello and for short...
"Winpc Controller Card" works with "Winpc Software" via USB.
"Mach4 Controller Card" works with "Mach4 Software" via USB.
... and so on (Controler & Software must work together) via connection.
You can change "basic USB WinPC" Controlercard (Feel free to ask Mr. Lewetz).

Hi,
have just purchased a 600, but not yet assembled so have not used any software.
Regarding Mach3/4, there is a lot of information on the StoneyCNC website on setting up Mach3, (and on UCCNC) not sure how Mach4 differs and I will be using UCCNC but the information should be of help, also has video's.

Hope this helps

@ Nonaga : Of course i will upgrade my system to run under Mach 3/4 or UCCNC. Correct me if i'm wrong ; if i opt for Mach3/4 i have to purchase an interface PCB board togheter with UC 100 controller and a parallel port for my CNC device . Likewise if i opt for UCCNC i have to purchase an interface board for it as well.
@ AlanUk
Great link and great explanation about Mach 3 installation.

Hi did you solve the problem?
I solve the problem.
My machine run with mach 4
I am using a parallel port <---literally a parallel port.
with the darwin plugin. (XP/LPT1/0X378)
If you have PMDX-411, you machine would work w/o the plugin.
I want to hear what did you do and share what's going on.
