UCCNC Problems
I have a reoccurring issue where after 2-4 cycles of loading a new file, UCCNC will stop updating the screen and sending signals to the USB unless i keep moving the mouse. The machine is not going to sleep, or starting the screen saver or anything else. Just chokes. I'm on Windows 8 still.
I have disabled all the Power Saving bs in the USB and any other hardware i could find in the device manager.
The only thing that seems to fix the issue is a Shut Down and Startup. Restart does not fix the issue surprisingly enough.
Computer:
ASUS T100TAM-C12-GR, 10.1" - Detachable 2-in-1 Touchscreen Laptop - Intel Atom Z3775 - 64GB HD - 2GB RAM - Win8.1
The processor seems to only be running at 20% load and there are no other indicators of a bandwidth hog anywhere so I can only guess it is a Adobe thing...

How old is PC?
sounds like not enough resources.
disable anti virus etc also that can cause issues sometimes.
It is less than a year old and I don't have any antivirus since it doesn't really go online. I do have Windows defender going though.

Well, the problem here is that it's a tablet. Don't expect lots of resources/speed from it.
2GB ram is very few for Win8 alone.
I think your device is doing disk swap after a while.

If your computer is dedicated to UCCNC then go through the MSCONFIG startup and services menus and stop anything that isn't strictly relevant to your operations. Virus software is a good first candidate, then things like Skype and Dropbox - anything that has to do with on-line activity can disrupt things.
Just experiment a little - you will be surprised how much can be culled without affecting UCCNC.
When I first started I bought a really cheap refurbished Dell 610 running WinXP Prof. No internet connection needed, just transfer required milling data from my main PC via a USB stick. I went through the culling process anyway, and never have any problems or glitches
Incidentally, I noticed that the latest revision of UCCNC is V1.2005 and that it uses OpenGL for graphics. I couldn't find a link to download when I last looked at "cncdrive.com". It is probably worth updating from V1.1027 and it might well solve your problem straight away if you can grab a copy.

There is no problem, however simple, that cannot be made more complicated by thinking about it.
Version 1.2 has my problems solved it seems 🙂

mine had been running good all day. but it updated again after i reset it back to factory settings. now its doing the same thing again. where do i get the latest version of uccnc at
1.2016 is on the UCCNC site.
1.2016 has the open GL GUI.
i cant find the download. will i have to purchase a new license?
found it and i am amazed. its super fast loading and when i hit go to zero it goes to zero instead of drilling hole where i don't want it.
