... I assume that the Christmas Holiday production has started!
Nice!!! 🙂
P.s.: Is that the first one of a herd?
It's not only about tools it's also about skills! 😉

Again: Nice!!! Thanks for showing us!
What is the overall measurement of the Reindeer's and how much time will it take to be milled?
I have visit your website - any plans to use the Stepcraft instead/additional or in combine for your Pyrography Art?
It's not only about tools it's also about skills! 😉
Reindeer (sitting)
95 mm high
135 mm wide
23 mm thick
23 passes at 1 mm 500 mm/min
Estimated time 28 mins
Reindeer (standing)
130 mm high
135 mm wide
Slightly longer for the other reindeer.
Thanks for checking out my website
And yes I plan to create something that combines pyrography and Stepcraft work.

Super stuff. What cutter did you use?
I used one of my own cutters "3mm carbide" as the ones that you get with the Stepcraft cnc machine didn't fit the bill.
The cutting area wasn't deep enough to go through the job.
Cheers.

Ian - super - can you post where you got it and post a picture of the tool? The standard cutters are limited to 10-15mm deep.
The cutting depths is a common question with the STEPCRAFT system.
As I'm sure you found out - cutting that deep needs TLC and you need to be careful with your parameters.
Cheers
The slot drill was bought years ago, can't remember where I got it from.
3mm carbide cutter.
Used to mill both reindeer.
Was expecting a slight bit of rubbing when it got just over the flute but managed ok, the cut was clean and didn't require any sanding etc. Came out really well as you can see from the pics.
