Just curious as which way is the right way and if it is back to front  how do make it travel the other way.

According to the manual Y- is towards the emergency stop ?

So where is zero x, zero y meant to be ?

Usually the left lower corner (emergency stop side).

It's not only about tools it's also about skills! 😉

So zero is mean to be "Usually the left lower corner (emergency stop side)"... my machine thinks its the end .. so 0 seems to been -600mm

How do I reverse the geometry ?

to change direction of axis

>>config >> pots and pins >> motor outputs >> change the "Dir LowActive" pin to opposite of what it currently is

or

>>config >> homing/limits >> Set the "reveresed" status of the Y axis to the opposite of what it is

NOTE: you will have to change the "Home negative" status also - make sure after the change the machine homes in the correct direction.

When you have finished the changes and are happy.

>>config >>SAVE SETTINGS (down at bottom)

if you don't you will loose the setting change when you exit MAch.

It doesn't really matter which orientation you use with the machine - provided the softlimits work (if you are using them). There are of course conventions and standards etc

We configure to have the X0 and Y0 positions at the bottom left of the machine as you look at the front of the machine.

often people configure X0 Y0 as you look at the side of the machine and actually run X as Y and Y as X

changes will most likely effect the soft limits setup (if you use them)

if your consistent with your co-ordinate system and it works - they you are okay.

Unsure... I would have thought it would be important of I am using some else GCode. I think also its good to have the software running the same way as the table as apposed to thinking backwards on one axis...

Anyhow I am a newbie... I bow to the wisdom of my elders ! 🙂
