My circles are not round
Hello,
I bought my M700 machine last month. I use UCCNC and Vcarve pro.
My circles are not round and I have really no clue where to find an answer. It happens with milling as well as plotting. In vCarve they are really circles when I simulate the toolpath.
It happens in profile toolpath as well as with pocket toolpath. Attached is a pocket toolpath, but I used a pen to plot the toolpath.
Thanks for helping me out here 🙂
Greetings, Ronald
I see that the system here rotated my image 90deg.
So the straight line is de Y-axis, not de X-axis! And I did one more test, quick engraving, but the same result.
Do you have a possibility to measure the backlash?

Thanks for your reply, but I don't think this has anything to do with backlash. I'm using a pen at very low speed. I did a new test, I combined a circle and a square. One I rotated 90 degrees. You van see that the half circles nr.2 is perfect and that the half circles nr.1 is not round. So, or the Gcode is wrong, or the machine can't draw perfect circles. And I wonder if I'm the only one with this problem....
Problem solved! I found 2 lose screws at the back of the gantry 🙂
