Frage Stepcraft 840 Binding

Hi All, I need some guidance

The y axis of my 840 was ‘binding’. I have been in my workshop for over 8 hours trying to fix this. I have followed the tuning video step-by-step and I just cant get the thing to operate as it should as it keeps binding.

The Y axis velocity is 2000 and I am 'jogging' the machine at 60%. The machine travels - then binds - travels - then binds

I have checked:

• the lead screws and they are clean and well greased
• here are no obstructions
• the screws are 'well seated' and there is no backlash
• the belt is fine

Hi,

make a quick test: Loosen the Screws of the X-Axis on one side and test again. On mine there is too much color at the area for the bearing of the X Screw
