WHAT !!! is Stepcraft up too???
WHAT!!! you may wonder... Well I will tell you "WHAT" since Stepcraft don't seem to find it that important letting their customer-base know that they have released their own UCCNC Post Processors. If it wasn't for that amazing guy that goes by the name of Rory Stoney @ Stoneycnc.co.uk twisting my arm out of my socket and forcing me to upgrade from Vcarve Desktop to Vcarve Pro I would never have found out.
In fact look at the evidence.
Stepcraft UCCNC ARCS (mm)(*.txt)
Stepcraft UCCNC ATC ARCS (mm)(*.txt) for those you you that are not sure what ATC represents, it is not for members of the Air Training Corps, neither the American Toad Counting association and definitely not for those clever guys that work in Air Traffic Control.....it simply means Automatic Tool Changer...
I noticed a very small upgrade for Vcarve users yesterday so I can only assume that was it.
Anyway we can now feel as important having a Stepcraft as all the other CNC manufacturers cos we have out own PreProcs... I must run and tell the wife now, as she will be so excited BUT maybe not when I tell her it is only millimetres and not inches.
🙂
P.S, And what makes it even better is the fact that they work.
Good morning!
You´ll find us also impressed!!!!!
The last Information, we got from Vectric after several interventions to implement postprocessors for UCCNC was: "We are working on it".
So believe us, it isn´t, as you felt!
Kind regards,

That's good news, thanks for posting it. After a couple of attempts got it to install on my PC.
I like the comments included in the file, especially where it places the path names at the beginning of each toolpath if exporting multiple paths. That'll make skipping past unwanted bits much easier.
( Front Panel Rev 1 Face New Step PP With ATC ) ( File created: Monday December 19 2016 - 01:45 PM) ( for Mach2/3 from Vectric ) ( Material Size) ( X= 200.000, Y= 80.000 ,Z= 15.000) () (Toolpaths used in this file:) (Drill 1) (Pocket Magnet Holes) (Profile Outline) (Tools used in this file: ) (3 = End Mill {3 mm} Plastic) N120G00G21G17G90G40G49G80 N130G71G91.1 N140T3M06 N150 (End Mill {3 mm} Plastic) N160G00G43Z24.000H3
Not so sure about this line though:-

I really hate to burst your bubble but all this was made to my bidding and specification. If you care to look carefully you will see my initials are not so cleverly hidden in the filename, signifying something other than a vulgar unit of measure. Haha! Nothing, nothing will stop me in my path to world domination!!!
Clockwork Orange is a S600 with 4th axis, Kress 1050. Software is UCCNC, DeskProto, Rhino, DraftSight. Also a Silhouette Cameo for vinyl, plastic card, etc.
"Burst my bubble?" not a chance... Your fame astounds me... Today PrePocessor, Tomorrow a Bond Film... 🙂
AFAIK that postprocessor must be an alias for mach3. Are there any differences?
Stepcraft 2 840
Kress 800 FME
UCCNC + UC100
V-Carve + QCad
