Hello all,

I am putting together my stepcraft 840. I have the machine almost ready and am now testing everything.

In WinPC-NC starter I have loaded the 840 profile. When I initialize the machine I can hear the motors make some noise. Then an error pops up telling me the homing switch is active. I have checked in Signal test , lights are on for all Homing switches. Only when I press the Homing Y on the machine the lights will go off.

Pretty frustrating .. could one of the switches be broken?

Hope some of you have an idea.. im a bit lost.

Thanks a lot for any help.

The switches are connected in series.
All switches are "normally closed" so if pushed they will open.
If one is open the chain is open and all three light up in signal test.

I think you have to reconnect Y switch.
The cables must be connected to the outside (not middle) Pins.

Thanks a lot. That solved the problem!
Now I only need to align the X axis. On the ends it gets stuck. Should I look at the nut or the rollers?
