Just bought a Kress 1050 FME-P spindle for my SC 1/420.
What a disappointment when I tried to fit it on the spindle tool holder.
It does not fit, its to wide in diameter.
Stepcraft doesn't say a word about this or mentioned it as a no no for the SC 1/420.
The tool holder is 1 cm to short for a good fit.
Is there someone who uses a Kress 1050 FME-1 or P on a 1/420?
Is a replacement of the Tool holderSC 2 used on the 2/420 a good fix?

After contacting the stepcraft service desk the problem is likely solved.
Anyone with a SC series 1 has to replace the toolholder (part 3) with one of the SC serie 2 (these should be a bit larger so a Kress 1050 FME-1 should fit.
Now I ordered the replacement toolholder and wait:whistle: :whistle:
There is only one possible problem left and that is the dimensions of the Kress.
On various sites this stated as 67 mm diameter, but the one I received has 74 mm diameter, so fingers crossed and hope this gives no problem.
