Help with alignment
I have spend 2 days trying to align the stepcraft using https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs7OTxZoik4 after the first time it also didn't work.
Now only the Z-axis is working.
The X-axis is now stuck on 3/4 of the stepcraft
And the Y-axis didn't move at all.
All motors work an give noise. I cant get the axles to move smoothly by hand, i need to apply force.
I have assembled it 3 times and it got stuck on different places.
What can i do?
you have to find the source of the friction?
step by step bit by bit and test at every step..
do the leadscrews move freely in the brass nut?
Do the axes slide freely...
Is anything tight or out of alignment
run the axes with the bolts connecting the orange plates to the aluminium extrusions loose and see... its important you don't bend / put pressure on the ballscrew as it moves to one side or another.
Repeating myself here, but don`t forget to do the "verification of linear axes" procedure found in First Steps manual on SC homepage.

Problem solved. I untightened the bolts holding the frame a bit and now it works good.
Now you have to find a position for all the parts so that you can retighten eveything and it still all works!!
Good luck!!

There is no problem, however simple, that cannot be made more complicated by thinking about it.
