Problem with Y-axis
Hello,
Yesterday I recieved my Stepcraft 840. I have build the whole machine, but i have some problems. I hope someone can help me.
When i want to move the machine with the laptop. The moving process from the Y-axis gets jammed. It's stuck, won't move from left to right.
(sorry for bad englisch, i'm dutch)
Please help me.
Did you check the following topic: here. Does it make any particular sound when it gets stuck?
Stepcraft 600SF (version 1) parallel port
Proxxon IBS/E
Mach3
devCad Cam Pro; devWing Cam; devFus Cam; Profili Pro 2
I had there same issue with my 420/2 at start, but loosing and tighten the bolds of the frame again while moving the unit was the solution for me. The frame was not 100% levelled, and that caused resistance.
I have now many hours of milling, and the problem never came back.
Eurotools-24 G-500 & custom-made aluminium table
Kress 800
TB6560 4V3, UC100, UCCNC
I am going to have to do that with my 840/2
On a number of occiaions the X / Y had stalled, but only at the far end of travel (IE whrn doing full sized pieces)
Only today i have wasted a dozen pieces of wood (18mm MDF so not too expensive)
