What exactly do you mean by "not fair"? Do they have to ask for permission first? Is SC Inc. owned by SC or is it maybe some kind of franchise?

I mean, here on the forum the stepcraft 2 has been discussed a lot. For me it's strange that stepcraft started a kickstarter campaign before the die-hards stepcraft users here on the forum doesn't now anything about it. It's also odd that stepcraft introduces the new models on kickstarter before the Intermodellbau 2015! Come on, let's face it, it's strange!

Certainly not and I really like to see on Kickstarter that they are already using pics from the German Forum (e.g. druckgott) for Advertising in the US. :whistle:

And they are asking for more pics without an offer for a copyright contract and - of course - no reimbursement.

And this 40 improvements on the SC1 which has lead to the SC2 - I'm sure that has nothing to do with this German Forum, right?

WTF ist Stepcraft doing? - Kickstart an existing Product?

This is for sure one of the most embarrassing ideas i have been seeing for a long time. I looked in the WhoIS for Stepcraft US and it is registered by Markus Wedel.

So what the hack they are doing? Kickstarter is not a WebShop, it is to pre-finance Ideas to convert an idea to a product. It is not an advertising and selling Plattform for existing Products.

Ridiculous just ridiculous ...

I guess this is the trick ... they finance V2 ... and they started kickstarter before official announcement of V2 on the fair.

And really ... if you have a look at other kickstarter projects, most of them show prototypes which do look too good to be build in a garage shop. I wonder if anybody would think about being a backer if you don't show something but only present your idea. Giving a timeline like ... 3 Month development time, outcome uncertain.

Actually the kickstarter campain will pre-finance the startup of a US based support team.
