Hi!

I have the second generation D840 machine and currently work with a tool length sensor. Also I use EstlCam with the LPT adaptor board. NowI would like to also add a second sensor for the probing functionality in EstlCam.

Originally I had the tool length sensor configured as normally closed and connected it to the screw terminals on the board. According to the manual I had the jumper next to the screw terminal removed and my understanding was that I can now use both the screw terminals and the 3.5mm socket outside for sensors. I changed the tool length sensor to normally open and connected some cables to the 3.5mm socket. However when I close the circuit of the 3.5mm socket, in EstlCam the same sensor will fire as with the tool length sensor.

My understanding was that LPT pin 15 is normally empty and could be used for an additional sensor. Is there a way to get this input to a dedicated sensor?

Hi,

I have tried this on my 420. If I remember correctly I rewired the tool length sensor for normally open.
This way I could use the tool length sensor and a probe sensor in parallel.
