Final thicknessing of spruce tonewood strips (457 x 40.5 x 12.3 mm) prior to gluing between two 3.35 mm plywood facing panels to make 3/4" (19 mm) quality custom blackboard for the body sections of a Brian May Red Special replica guitar. The video is speeded up 10x. The actual cut time is approximately 15 minutes.

Milling a Red Special Guitar Truss Rod Bolt Access Cover from Acrylic with a Stepcraft 2/840 CNC Machine
The first run is to thickness the 3 mm cast black acrylic (Perspex) sheet from a nominal 3.0 mm down to around 1.6-1.7 mm (nominally 1/16" but with a little left to allow for sanding with 1500 grit wet and dry abrasive paper and polishing with T-Cut)
Some still pictures of the finished product are included at the end of the video along with the completed Bakelite nut.

XY feed rate: 1,500 mm/min
Z plunge rate: 30 mm/min
Depth per pass: 0.5 mm
Cutter (thicknessing path): 6 mm four flute solid carbide end mill
Cutter (drill hole and outline) 2 mm two flute solid carbide TiAlN coated slot drill
