Mini clamps for the poor man
Did you buy a cheap M6 clamping-set on eBay like me?
If so, you discovered very soon that the T-nuts are too big for the Steppie worktable. Unusable... 🙁
But, I've also discovered last week that, at the same time, I've got 6 mini-clamps for free! :woohoo:
1. Buy some M6 bolts of different lenght (i.e. 20, 30, 40 mm)
2. Buy a good 6,5mm-dia drill-bit for iron in a supermarket like Obi, Hornbach, etc. Don't buy the cheapest one. (Maybe a 6mm dia is good too, but I haven't tried it.)
3. Destroy the thread of the T-nuts.
4. Buy some "Wing nuts" M6
5. Now you have six mini clamps!!!
Suggestion: try keep the screw-clamp quite vertical while tightening. It's easy, a little pressure with one finger is enough.
