Stepcraft HF 500 spindle problems

So, it seemns like dust has entered through the ventilation holes and now the spindle doesn't rotate smoothly any longer.

It's not broken, but there is dust inside which blocks the rotor from spinning freely. I can see it trying to move, but it can't because of the dust which accumulated.

How can I open it up and clean it ? Any service manual ? I don't see any screws, only the one on the top, right above the motor, but it doesn't give me access inside.

If you haven't worked this out for yourself already, the Stepcraft HF spindle body consists of two separate sections which screw together via a large screw thread.

I found this out when a cutter stall caused enough torque to unscrew the two body sections from each other. This also blew the power supply due to there not being any cut out protection in the control unit.
