Question STEPCRAFT-2/420 UCCNC profile

Hello,

I had the same problem after a troublesome Win10 update that led to a clean install.
Could not locate my CD to get the Stepcraft-specific files but got great help from Rory at Stoney CNC.
Fantastic guy, really fast reply when I pleaded for help!

I have attached 2 files here. Place them into the "screens" folder of UCCNC. Hopefully with them it will work.
The "Default..." is taken from 1.2020, the "Stepcraft..." is an older one. Before this make a backup of your old files...

is there somewhere i an download the profiles for my 420v2? i have just done a new pc and it doesn't have a cdrom drive.

Hope the attached one works. I cannot guarantie that and also not if the macros are working. Fuund it on my stationary PC.

ok. silly question, how do i import the profile. i copied the folder into my profiles folder but it doesnt how in uccnc. before i used the program that stepcraft sent me.

i used your screnset but it doesnt display correctly. all the buttons are missing.

as I understand you are missing only the profile for the 420/2. So I don't understand why you also have installed my screenfiles? The screenfiles must match with your UCCNC version.

So the best way is to download and install the latest full UCCNC version from CNCdrive: CNCdrive

Then check in Demo mode if the SW seems to run again.


Then in the next step just store the profile from my post in the Contents folder. Maybe also store the macros in the Macro_default folder. If the profile will not work, please come here back and I will send you my actual profile from another LapTop.

So, here are the profiles from my LapTop I use for milling. There are 3 profiles.
They are a little bit different in some minor important features. Currently I use the "Default" profile.

Million Thanks to Rory again - he does help! I could not buy my Stepcraft from him as I am not in the UK, but there are many very useful accessories in Rory's shop (low-profile clamps for a start), and I ordered several that I need.
And Rory shared the profiles, that saved me about a half-day of trying to configure everything myself.

A few days ago I was looking at the forum for help because I couldn't find the installation CD of stepcraft 1/600 and urgently needed the profile file for UCCNC. I saw several comments that quoted a Rory from Stoney CNC, in which people said that it had helped them a lot.

So I decided to write them on their website and they answered me quickly, even without being a customer of them. I don't know if it was Rory that answered me directly or some other partner. The important thing is to thank the Stoney CNC team for their great help. In less than 12 hours they sent me an email with all the necessary software and extensive information (manuals, videos, etc ...)

Hi, everyone! i haved a some problem with profile UCCNC I wrote Rory ( www.stepcraft-systems.com/forum/profil/1629-rory ) and he sent me the installation files and profile to my stepcraft 420 v2 - Thanks him a lot!
If you need support or you have any questions for software, I recommended ask for help him.

Stecpcraft US actually allows freedownload of the UCCNC profiles here:

I just hope moderator ThomasDbg won't make them put it down!

We also needed the UCCNC profiles and asked Rory from stoneycnc.co.uk/ . They sent us all files and profiles for our stepcraft.
